The Road To The Dark Side

Sandro and I broke up. Other than saying that it was a repeated infidelity issue, I’m not willing to go into it any more than that. There’s no reason to when pictures tell a thousand words.

Updates on Life and Work

Wow it’s been busy lately. Life has been good, but there hasn’t been much time for it to be anything else. Sandro is still doing the school and work thing so it’s hard to spend the amount of time that I want to with him, and not living together makes it even more difficult to see him. We’re okay though because he understands my schedule working nights, and I know where he’s coming from working and going to school (it’s only been six months or so since I was doing the same thing). Blogging has obviously been lacking lately, and I apologize for it, but once things slow down it will happen more

Work is busy. Busy busy busy. The new RMS that I’m working on is going great to say the least, and I’m looking forward to its deployment (and payment from it!). I started this job with equal pay to my last and a lot less responsibility when it comes to overall operations, and with the introduction of a new supervisor that changed a bit. I’m one of three people with the same rank, but I am the go-to guy. I don’t mind it, as with the more responsibility I have the more purpose I feel, so it works out in the long run.

Here’s some lil’ diddies for you guys.

Weekly Recap and The Night With Sandro

This entire week was weird. I’m sorry, I thought it was April, but evidently Mother Nature had different ideas for our Spring in the Northwest.

Complete with winds which knocked trees down into roads and parked vehicles.

I was getting into my work car the other night and forgot my bluetooth headset was in my lap. It ended up in the storm drain.

Gas prices are also pretty ridiculous right now. Thank god we have fleet fuel cards at work.

Taser arc, just for fun.

This weekend was weird, too. I was off work at 0200 Monday morning and slept from about four until noon, then again from one to nine. Back to sleep at two, then up at ten, back to sleep at one, then up at six. I got way too much sleep, which explains why I’m up so early for work today. If I didn’t have things to do I would run to work early and take my patrol car to the car wash and detail it out (it was just assigned to me and still…has the last person in it).

Yesterday I had a killer headache, so I popped half a Percocet (which, by the way, was prescribed to me for headaches when I had shingles…which I still have but that’s another story) and napped. Sandro came over and brought “headache medicine” for me.

We ran a few quick errands to get dinner, pick up something from my work (where he met one of my more attractive co-workers and confirmed my suspicion that he would find him pleasant to look at), and then came home, cooked dinner, had a few drinks, then made babies. Well, tried to anyways.

I got the schedule I wanted at work, which is 7pm to 3am. This leaves me enough time during the day to run errands and spend time with Sandro during the week, and allows me to unwind after work for a while and still get to sleep before it’s light out, which makes it really tough to sleep. I was also put in charge of vehicle maintenance supervision, so that allows me some flexible overtime in overseeing their condition and repairs during the week or one my days off.

Update With Photos

I’m horrible at transferring photos from my Blackberry to my blog in a timely manner, so here is some catching up.

Not in the mood for BS during my last week at work. Taking pictures of myself does encourage me to get working out again though.

One Year Later

One year. I’m amazed. Not at the fact that we could stand each other this long, or that either of us could go for a year. I think its amazing that I found who I did, and when I did.

The year has had its ups and downs and has seen a lot of things happen in our lives that have brought us closer. Nothing I can think of that has happened has taken us farther apart. Granted, we’ve had our share of disagreements about things, and I’ve been mad on a few occasions, but things always work out quickly and we end up stronger afterwards.

It took a long time for Gammy to get his name right (”Andrew,” “Sandrew,” Andro,” “Sander”) but it didn’t take me very long to realize how much he meant to me. He’s a complement to my strength, my heart, and I don’t know what I’d do without him. When I think of him I want to be with him, and when he walks in my door and I see him its like the first time I ever did. Every kiss we’ve shared feels as special as the first and they always make my heart beat faster.

Birthday Wishes

Weekend Recap

Thursday was rough. I’m not going to get into it, but my looming halfway-to-fifty birthday coming up, missing my mom, and being tired really affected me.

2006pint Friday Sandro came over and we went to the mall for lunch, then walked around looking at things. We stopped by the T-Mobile store so I can play with my new toy which is coming soon. We went grocery shopping and I’m not sure why, but when I can get a bunch of stuff for not a lot of money I love it. Adidas antiperspirant was two 2-packs for $5. I also picked up a pint of Arrogant Bastard to try, which was very good. Danielle, my new roommate cooked dinner consisting of steak, pasta salad, salad, green beans, and vegetable dips which hit the spot. And my other roommate’s cute hot younger brother spent the night.

Today I didn’t do much. I woke up after dreaming about my new Blackberry, and being the true knob that I am I’ve already downloaded a bunch of themes and programs for it. I may sell my Wing to my roommate, who is a complete texting whore. Sandro and I picked up my grandmother and drove her to my new place to show her how close I actually am…for some reason she thought that just because I moved to the next county that I was far enough away that it’s a helluva drive to see her. Then we took her grocery shopping. Sandro was very affectionate in the store today. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t bother me at all, and I actually liked it. It just stood out to me. Once we got back to my place he left and I took a nap, then woke up and went to Aaron’s house to watch COPS. His boyfriend and I recently met and after a rough start but ended up hitting it off pretty good. I came home after dinking around there for a while and am now enjoying a pint of Young’s Double Chocolate Stout, with solid plans to work out tomorrow!

By the way, my roommate’s little brother is asleep on the floor in the living room right next to the sliding glass door, and he just kicked it which scared me.

Five Things You May Not Have Known About Me

I’m very self-critical: I have expressed this on my blog in the past, either proactively or through my natural writings. Some of you that have talked to me, and all of my friends, know how self-critical I am, but that I balance it with confidence. The main issues I find myself harping on myself for are my weight and fitness, my finances, and my place in life (largely because of my finances).

I’m tall, he’s short: Some of you noticed this from photos of us, but I’m 6’4’’, 200 (-ish) pounds, and Sandro is 5’3’’ and 135. This makes for some interesting looks at us when we’re in public together because I look older than I am, and he looks young enough to be in high school.

I’m an organized chaotic: Everything in my life is organized. For instance, I have a calendar with due dates and amounts for all my bills, I constantly check them online, I have a to-do list on my desk at all times (I recently converted from a notepad to a small dry-erase board), and I set tasks for myself each weekend and constantly monitor them. I do have an issue with procrastinating though, including responding to blog posts and comments. I also have issues with actually completing the tasks instead of staring at them on my list.

I only own one firearm: My pride and joy, a Springfield XD .45 ACP. Classic black, tactical rail standard, 1911 style grip safety and angle, no external hammer (it has a firing pin indicator on the back to show that’s it’s cocked), and a chambered round indicator (a small nub which sticks up on the top of the slide to let you know there’s a round in the pipe). I originally was planning to buy a Glock 22 (.40) but a friend let me shoot his XD and I fell in love with it. I prefer Hydrashok rounds, in case you were wondering. I have been promised a one year anniversary firearm though…hmmm, what to get? (No Adam, an AR-15 is out of the question.)

I love doing nothing: My week usually kicks the crap out of me. You’d think driving around for ten hours is easy, but it’s not. I think the fatigue is more mental because I juggle driving, anticipating others’ driving, radio, cell phone, Nextel, MDT, and am constantly having to be aware of what’s going on around me and my vehicle. By the time I get home my brain is fried. On my weekend, I love sitting around and watching TV, spending time with Sandro, and find it hard to respond to e-mails/blog comments and post comments to others’ blogs because of how much time I spend looking at a computer screen during my week.

Deception Pass (w/ Photos)

Well, as promised, here are some photos from our day trip to Deception Pass on Saturday. It didn’t go quite as planned, with him harping me as to where we were going, me caving in, getting pissy, him getting pissy, deciding to go minutes before work called me in later that day, and the 45 degrees and sunny tuning into 38 degrees and rainy, but we still made it happen.
