    I think the embarrassing part is that this vehicle belongs to LAPD. Imagine rolling through Compton in that.

    That is not a LAPD vehicle, it has an European license plate…

    I did some more research on that vehicle.

    http://www.newyorkpolice.nl/smart/smart.html A man from the Netherlands convered a Smart car into a LAPD vehicle.

    http://www.kawasaki-police.com/touring/040925.htm Appears to be the same car, but with Japanese plates on, and driven by a Japanese guy.

    So it’s a hobby vehicle and not a real LAPD vehicle…thankfully. I wouldn’t mind seeing these on the road as parking enforcement though.
