2 days and counting

Sandro comes back on Tuesday and I can hardly wait. Even with one coworker calling out sick indefinitely I still have my four days off planned. Through the past couple of weeks that he’s been gone we’ve kept in touch at least every other day through e-mail or IM. We’ve even worked through a problem this way (which happens to be one of two problems we’ve ever really had come up). He’s been so supportive of personal stuff and work stuff in my life and is always there to listen to me. I’m always there for him when he needs to vent about something, although I wish that he would more often just for the simple fact that he’s so bashful. We’re working on being more open with each other, going good so far.

Besides not seeing Sandro for two weeks I’m also feeling pretty burned out on work lately. That’s not to say that I’ve completely thrown in the towel on it, or have checked out while I’m there, but my entire life at any job I’ve been at I have given my all, always come in when needed, and overall busted my ass to make things work. Here, no matter how hard I work only one person appreciates it…unfortunately even though that person is higher up than me I rarely see him and he doesn’t control my evaluation. Right now, I need to take a break on that for my own sake.

Now Fully Back, catching up

Jakeslife.net is now fully back up. For the past week it’s been either down or short of several entries. Once I got it back up Wordpress was having some issues finding everything due to an upgrade. Anyways, that’s all fixed now. I’ve restored all of my posts, although many have been protected now. If you need the password and aren’t a douche, let me know.

Sandro gets back from Peru next week, and I can’t wait to see him. We’ve been sending video messages back and forth from our phones via e-mail since text messages are about $4 per for Peru. Nasty. He’s also been taking pictures of some sights in Lima. I also switched up my schedule some to spend more time with him when he gets back.

Upgraded my Dash to Windows Mobile 6. Good stuff, even though WM6 leaves me wanting to ditch my Smartphone for a PDA, like the new T-Mobile Wing. The only real difference is touch screen and screen real estate, but my Dash works great for me right now.

Mint, a new free online personal finance manager is in “Elite Beta” right now ad I can’t wait until it opens. It looks like it’s going to blow most others out of the water. Well, right now there aren’t many others out there. Sure, I have online banking, but I am in the process of figuring out how to track everything I do on my laptop on my mobile device. So far, financial software is lacking for Windows Mobile aside from basic checkbook apps. A web solution would be great if it displays right on my device’s browser.

I’m almost done with this school term too. I finished my rough draft for my Effective Writing II final (148/150), which can be viewed along with the final draft at Scribd.

Well, off to another night in paradise.

Owned

Isn’t that funny? I know what else is funny…You think you’re funny. Sneaky funny. You think that you can try to get me in trouble for what I say on my blog? And me not know about it? That’s sad. It’s sad that you think you can get away with it, and that I wouldn’t find out exactly who’s involved and what you have said. For those of you with the “L” word on your mind, should I wear a t-shirt that says, “PLEASE! Suppress my First Amendment Right!” Is that too long? I could always split it up between the front and back. Bumper stickers? Coffee mugs? Ooh, I know! Personalized pens! You got owned, bitches, so grow up.For everyone else besides the few of those guys that read jakeslife.net, enjoy it. For those of you who are intent on picking it apart, go somewhere else and stop wasting your time. I’m covered.

Changes at jakeslife.net

Well, there’s been some changes ’round here. Obviously I have been having issues with some folks reading my blog lately. That’s not the issue…the whole reason I blog is for others to read it, and nothing in my blog is detrimental to anything having to do with work. The issue stems from sneaksy little hobbitses trying to start shit. It’s amazing the stuff people will try to do and think they are flying under the radar.

Anyways, Sandro is in Peru for a few weeks, and I can’t wait for him to get back. No, not because of that. Well okay, that’s part of it.
