I love the end.
I love the end.
Today was pretty boring for me. As usual, it started out with Sandro coming over and waking me up, and being patient enough while I woke up for 45 minutes. Then we took Gammy to lunch, went to see Next, and then went and sat at the water for a little bit.
Oh, and he loves his new sunglasses by the way.
I have been thinking more and more lately about my fitness goals now that I’m almost done with school. I’ve figured out that no matter what I do, trying to balance full time school, full time work, and fitness goals will end in one area failing. When school is done however, there will be more time.
Maybe this is just another procrastination technique. Who knows. In the meantime here are some interesting fitness related articles, sites, and pieces of software.
10 Unconventional diet tips: How to lose 50 pounds in three months
Quote from LifeHack:
The following are 10 unconventional weight loss tips that worked for me. Between January 4, 2006 and March 31, 2006 I lost fifty pounds. These tips work well because almost every tip is focused around completing a small goal. In my opinion, to stay motivated and lose a significant amount of weight, you should complete many goals in a short period of time.

This list contains some pretty simple, and a few creative alternatives to my personal favorite, the 7-11 beef and cheese sticks.
FitDay: “Track your Foods, Exercises, Weight and Goals.”
Gimme20: The fitness version of MySpace, with exercise sharing and groups.
Traineo: A fairly new online fitness web site using a support approach: You sign up, start tracking your diet and exercise, and choose a small group of other members or friends/family who are not members who have access to your logs in order to give feedback and encouragement.
EvenFit: Although not an online system, I’ve mentioned it before. Great piece of free software in an Outlook-type format which allows you to insert photos once a day to visually track your progress.
Well, this weekend was fairly boring. Thursday I did just about nothing. Friday I took Gammy on some errands, then came home, picked up Sandro, and washed the car. When we got back home I used some Turtle Wax Ice on the new car. I’ll post pics of my new car once it stops raining again. Today Sandro came over and we spent the day being lazy together. Nothing special, just movies, TV, a nap, and dinner. He wasn’t feeling well, so no hanky panky either.
Day two of the new car is going good. Sandro and I went to see Gammy after I got it yesterday, and today after I picked up some things for the car we went to see The Reaping. Surprisingly, neither of us fell asleep like we usually do at movies.
Picked up some blueish headlamps for the tC today. They look niiiiiiiiiice.
So I had been pondering getting rid of my car lately in favor of something newer, not because the Mint Bird is a bad car (just the opposite actually) but because I know it will depreciate much more as soon as it hits 200k (it’s at 178k right now) and I wanted to be able to get something for it instead of running her into the ground and having nothing left. So, I narrowed it down to the Mazda 3 and the Scion tC.
Got financing, researched both cars, read consumer reviews, and between these two cars it’s a damn tie as far as reviews go…
I got the Scion tC. I test drove it in Flint Mica, but decided on Classic Silver so that the black roof would be more visible. I test drive it at 3 miles, it was mine at 5, rolled off the lot at 6. Now it’s at 46, feeling like a loose whore, and destined for a used car lot. Not really though.
The interior of these things are pretty nice, lots of things standard, and so much room to customize. The manager of the Scion dealership was family and was really helpful and friendly, even gave me a better financing deal than the lender I originally went through. That’s coo in my book. I’m going to have to post a pic of me and both of my babies–the ‘07 Scion tC and ‘05 police package Impala–but for now you’ll just have to imagine that in your head.
As for the other loads of bullshit going on–the issues at work–they have been mostly resolved. No lawyers, no action, no lawyer action, and no bringing it up. So, I will leave you with the inspiring words of Lil’ Kim:
“Fuck Junior M.A.F.I.A.
that chapter’s through
Them faggots done did something
that they can’t undo
And whoever ridin’ with ‘em
they can catch one too!”
