Temporarily resolved, et al

Well, I ended up getting ahold of Grant, the guy who got the U-Haul stolen, and went to pick him up from that hotel. He’s going to stay here for a few nights until he can figure out what’s going on with things. It makes me feel better as a person to do these kinds of things, but I have to be honest that I don’t do them very often.

A lot of time people are more than willing to use you for what you have, even if they already have it. I like to think I’m a pretty good judge of character, and this guy struck me as someone who is a good person and had bad things happen to them. If you’re my friend, you know that this is the main reason I am so pissed off at the state of the world, that people are so selfish and shitty that they think they can do what they want, when they want, and to whom they want. It’s just not right.

Also, I’ve made a lot more categories accessible on the right side of the page. I have gone back and classified each post from [almost] the beginning to reflect this. I’ve also made a new post image that will show when I post from my Dash. Here, Shelly, look at it. Keep looking at it, until your eyes bleed!:

Too bad your new Clackberry Pearl has you up to your eyebrows in anger. Hold on, I have the cure.

But as we discussed before, you do not deserve a Dash, or any of its family, mainly due to your evil remarks about it and comparison of it to that of the package you got in the mail today. Well, okay, you never said it was like a vibrator, but I already know you’re thinking it.

In celebration of my new Dash (that’s right, Shelly, DASH DASH DASH) I made a new e-mail address to help stop spam in my jake@ account.

Dumbfounded

Just picked up a Targus Chill Mat to help solve the overheating issue. It’s a bit smaller than the base of my laptop but seems to fit well.

The new roomie I blogged about yesterday got his UHaul stolen from the hotel he was staying at. It had all of his savings, ID documents, clothes, etc. in it. He left his brand new motorcycle in our garage and since he left the keys in it I think it’s safe to say that he may have left the doors unlocked. Still, it sucks, and he decided to move back home. This isn’t what has be dumbfounded though.

My other roommates don’t see the good in offering to let him stay here until he moves back. He is paying $85 a night to stay at that hotel for five nights and it would do a lot of good to let him save th emoney for the rest of the nights (about $240) and crash here. Of course the Boy (see previous post) doesn’t know what it’s like to have bad things happen to him (his mom pays for his rent, cell phone, food, etc.), and the Man (also see previous post) figures that since he’s had worse happen to him that he should not be given help. In fact, they both had a good laugh out of the whole thing when they found out, which all but enraged me.

Yeah, I laughed when Shelly got her car stolen. But that was a car (granted it had some clothes, uniforms, and work gear in it) and the rest of her life was intact. This guy’s life was in there and he was here to start school and make something of himself. I’ll venture to say that I know just about exactly what he’s going through. And it sucks.

PS: My Dash is still doing fine, if you wanted to know.

Day two

…of three off. So far so good. I cleaned my room today and I can actually see my floor now. I even polished the hardwood. On the floors, you perv!

So, one roommate founda replacement and he actually moved most of his stuff in today. He officially starts sleeping here on Friday. One of the first things out of his mouth to me was, “So are Springfields stadard issue where you work?” Boy knows how to get on my good side real quick. If only he was naked while he said it.

With the other roommate moving out he will be cancelling all of the utilities that are in his name and transferring them into his replacement’s name (a replacement which he will hopefully find). I would take them over except that I ower two providers money from when Shitface and I used to live together. I’m hammering out my debt well enough, but haven’t gotten to them yet. I was checking out Clearwire which provided wireless, portable broadband. Instead of working off of a cable or telephone connection it works from cell towers and provides 1.5mbps downloads. All you need is an electrical outlet for its router, and it can connect to other routers to set up a home network. This would be great, especially for those days I spend at Gammy’s house or somewhere else that does not have internet. I would also get to charge the other roomies for use! :-D

Blog from the field

Whenever the wind kicks up we always seem busy. Gates and doors rattle, debris blows around, and sets off alarms. Tonight is nothing like a few weeks ago when we handled over 100 calls between 6 of us, thank god.

And that’s all for now.

So close

I am pretty close to finishing my piddly little AAS in Criminal Justice, and school is trying to put me through more hoops. Since my mother is dead and I have never known my father, financial aid paperwork is hard to fill out. I sent in my mother’s death certificate, tax filing paperwork to show my financial independance, and multiple personal statements from friends, family, co-workers, and it’s still not enough. They blocked me from my new term of classes that started the other day until I get in some more paperwork–which is the same as the above. They request it, I send it. They request it, I send it. They block me, request it, and now I have to send it again. People who work at colleges should be required to have come from them methinks.

Mini-Screenies

Here is my homescreen, which shows how much of a dork I am:

One of the episodes of COPS I have on the Dash:

A rather simple blogging app that I found. It’s free, so what can I say? What does annoy me a bit is that I haven’t even found a commercial app that allows mobile blogging. Yes, there’s the ol’ post-by-email route, but I wanted to see if there was anything else.

2007: Year in review

Well, I lost the case to my new Dash last night at Jamie’s. long with a number of other reasons, I knew I shouldn’t have left home. He was trying to intorduce someone to me that he thought would be compatible. Yeah, as soon as that hapened the person left saying they’d be back and never was. I’m not sure how, but I manage to cast Lvl. 47 Repel Cute Guys without even realizing it. It’s just my way.

Today I received confirmation on the ending of the wowness from a few weeks ago. I’m surprised I got it at all seeing as though he had stopped talking to me.

I was hoping that New Year’s would be a positive experience for me. Obviously it wasn’t. I was also hoping to be more social this year, especially since I graduate soon and that will free up a lot of my time, but that doesn’t look very realistic either. Not being down on myself, but you have to admit that it’s not looking so good.

I saw a personality quiz that I thought would be pretty interesting to complete. Below is the results it spewed forth from Satan. Everyone who knows me, please let me know if this is true.
